How TradingWizard works: the questions new users ask

What TradingWizard is, whether the money is real, what a bot does, what following a pack does to your account, and what it costs. Answered from the product's own source of truth.

AI tradingpaper tradingtrading botsproduct

These are the questions people actually ask before they start, answered the same way here as on the landing page and in the FAQ, because all three read one source. Every figure is read from the code that enforces it rather than written into the sentence.

01

What is TradingWizard?

A place to watch markets with help.

A place to watch markets with help. You make a bot on a market you care about, and it reads that market for you and writes down what it sees, in plain words, whether or not it finds anything. You can also ask Wiz about any of it, put your own orders on the chart, and follow a pack of bots. Every bot trades with fake money on live market data. TradingWizard never places a real order for a member, and there is no broker or exchange connection for user trading.

02

Is any of this real money?

No.

No. Every account trades with demo money on live market data. The prices, the spreads and the market hours are the real ones, so a trade opens and closes against what the market was actually doing, but nothing is ever placed with a broker. There is no live switch and no setting that turns a demo trade into a real one.

03

What does it cost to try?

Nothing.

Nothing. The free Starter plan gives you 1 bot for 14 days, 3 alerts, 5 Wiz questions a day and the public market data. No card is asked for and nothing expires into a charge.

04

Do I need trading experience?

No.

No. Wiz explains every term it uses, and a bot writes its reasoning in words rather than in indicators. Beginners get a sandbox where being wrong costs nothing. Experienced traders get the levels, the reasoning and a second opinion on any chart.

05

Which markets can I use?

Stocks, ETFs, crypto, forex, futures and major indices, with the supported list shown in the app when you pick a market.

06

What is the Demo account?

It is the one account you have, and it holds demo money.

It is the one account you have, and it holds demo money. Everything books against it: a bot that opens a trade, a pack you follow, an order you place yourself. It opens with $10,000 in demo cash, and it remembers what it started with, so the all-time line measures your trading rather than your deposits.

07

Can I add more demo money, or start over?

Yes, both, from Accounts.

Yes, both, from Accounts. Adding demo cash is counted as a deposit rather than as a gain, and starting the account over records the balance it started from. Neither is a result, so neither moves your performance line.

08

Can I connect my broker or my exchange?

Not for trading.

Not for trading. You can add holdings you keep somewhere else so that Wiz and your bots can take them into account, and a read-only exchange key can keep that list up to date. It is context for reading, nothing more: TradingWizard cannot place, change or close an order on any account of yours, and it never asks for permission to move money.

09

Can I lose money using TradingWizard?

Not on the platform.

Not on the platform. Every trade you see is demo money, so you can watch a strategy win or lose for weeks without a cent at risk. The honest part of the answer is the other half: real markets can always lose real money, and nothing you read here is a reason to think otherwise about a trade you go and place yourself.

10

Can I export my data?

Yes.

Yes. You own it. Export your trade history as CSV, or your whole account as JSON covering your profile, preferences, positions, trades, Wiz chats and watchlists, from settings at any time. If you cancel, your data stays exportable for 30 days before deletion.

11

What does a bot actually do?

It reads one market for you, over and over.

It reads one market for you, over and over. A bot scan is the in-app analysis workflow: on every scan the bot reads live market data for its asset and writes what it sees, with an entry, a stop and a target when it finds a setup. When the conditions are not there it says so, and waiting is a normal answer rather than a failure. Every read is kept, so you can go back and see what it saw before anybody knew how it turned out.

12

How often does a bot look at the market?

It follows the candle size you gave it: a bot on a one-minute candle looks often, a bot on a weekly candle does not need to. It can ask for a closer look when price is sitting on its entry, its stop or its target. Crypto bots read around the clock; stock and forex bots read while their market is open and park until the next session, so a quiet overnight is the market being shut rather than the bot being stuck.

13

What does it mean when the bot says wait?

That it looked and found nothing worth trading yet.

That it looked and found nothing worth trading yet. It is the most common answer a bot gives and it is the bot working, not failing. The other honest answers are avoid, which means it judges this market not worth trading now, and stale data, which means the feed it needs did not arrive fresh and it would rather say so than guess from old prices.

14

How many bots can I run?

1 on the free Starter plan, for 14 days.

1 on the free Starter plan, for 14 days. 5 on Pro, where paused bots count towards the number. Ultimate has no set number within fair use. A bot that hits the limit pauses itself and says so on its own card rather than failing quietly.

15

What is a Bot Pack?

A named set of bots.

A named set of bots. There are 10 Wiz packs, each built around one idea, and you can also make packs of your own out of your bots and any Wiz bot. A pack holds the bots that are live on its markets right now, so a retired bot simply leaves it and nothing is ever shown as a placeholder.

16

What happens when I follow a pack?

Your Demo account starts placing its own paper orders.

Your Demo account starts placing its own paper orders. When a bot in that pack opens a trade, your account places its own order for that asset at a per-trade size you choose, and closes it when the bot closes. One pack at a time. While you follow one, your own bots outside a pack of your own stand down so two sets of trades are not competing for the same cash, and a bot already holding a position runs it to its close. Unfollowing stops new orders and leaves the open ones alone.

17

Is a pack or a bot predicting what will happen?

No.

No. What you see is what its bots did over a past window, from trades that actually closed, and a bot with nothing closed in that window contributes nothing rather than a zero. None of it says what the next trade will do. Every read is a description of a market, not a recommendation for you.

18

What's the difference between Pro and Ultimate?

Pro ($39/mo) runs 5 bots, 10 alerts, Wiz chat with no daily cap and 5 live web checks a day. Ultimate ($99/mo) adds bots and alerts with no set number, the deepest Wiz thinking, live web checks with no daily limit, generated research reports and the advanced bot feeds for your market.

19

What is Wiz Expert Analysis?

Weekly expert views on covered markets.

Weekly expert views on covered markets. Your bot checks the case against current price, structure and risk. Turn it on in your bot's data feeds. If the report covers your asset, the bot can support the view, challenge it or wait. Stale reports are left out. Included with Ultimate; existing Pro bots keep feeds preserved before the change. It is research support, not a personal recommendation and not an automatic trade.

20

Is yearly cheaper?

Yes.

Yes. Pro is $348 a year, which works out to $29 a month instead of $39. Ultimate is $948 a year, which works out to $79 a month instead of $99. The year is charged once, up front, and either plan cancels in one click from settings.

21

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes.

Yes. No contracts and no hidden fees. Cancel in one click from settings and you keep full access until the end of the period you have paid for. Yearly subscribers cancel auto-renew the same way, and a subscription bought in an app store is cancelled there.

22

Can I switch or downgrade plans?

Open Plan and billing in settings to see your current subscription.

Open Plan and billing in settings to see your current subscription. If a change is offered there, review its charges and timing before confirming. Downgrades, billing-period switches and discounted plans may need support. App Store subscriptions are managed through Apple.

23

Do you offer a refund?

Subscription fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, and App Store purchases follow Apple’s own refund process. You can cancel at any time and keep full access to the end of the period. If you want to try first, Starter is free and needs no card.

24

Is this financial advice?

No.

No. TradingWizard explains what live data shows and always says where a number came from. It does not tell you what to buy or sell, it does not know your situation, and every decision stays yours. Treat it as a very fast research analyst, never as a portfolio manager.

25

How secure is my data?

Any third-party credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256, passwords are hashed, and every connection uses TLS. You can sign in with a passkey or with two-factor authentication. We never have withdrawal access to anything, because there is nothing to withdraw from: no account here can move money.

26

Do you sell my data?

No, never.

No, never. Your bots, your positions and your personal details are yours. We do not sell, share or monetise them in any way.

Nothing above describes a broker connection, a live order or a result you can expect. Every bot trades with demo money on live market data, and every decision about real money stays yours.
