Accounts and the Demo account

Every new account opens with one book, called the Demo account. It holds demo money. Prices, candles, spreads and market hours are the real ones, so a trade opens and closes against what the market was really doing. The money is not.

It opens with $10,000 in demo cash. You can add more or start it over from Accounts, and the account remembers what it started with so the all-time line measures your trading rather than your deposits.

• Cash and value. What is uninvested and what the whole book is worth right now.
• Open positions. Every position the account currently holds, whichever opened it, with its entry, its size and where it stands.
• Performance. The account curve over a period you choose, with the trade counts and the method behind it one click away.
• Holdings you added yourself. Positions you hold somewhere else and typed in, so Wiz and your bots can take them into account. They are context for reading, not something the product trades.
• Connections. The other apps and accounts you have linked, and what each one is allowed to read.

A price that did not arrive fresh is shown as unavailable, with the time of the last read it does have. It is never filled in with a zero or with the last number that worked. The same is true of a result: a position with no live price shows no profit or loss rather than a flat one.
